I absolutely adore Saffron Kitchen! This is my favorite little place! Everything from the food to the service to the ambience is superb. You can’t go wrong with anything that you try on their menu. The flavors are so fragrant and pronounced. Amazing spices and herbs with the most authentic taste. Every dish is amazing and always made with love. My current favorite is the filet mignon kabobs. If you like juicy, tender meat with immense flavors, this is IT! But I’ll be honest; any of their kabobs will knock your socks off. All of their appetizers are scrumptious too. I love the potato pakora, mantus, bolani, samosas, and their housemade Middle Eastern Naan and Chutneys. The chutneys are packed full of flavor, and the green chutney is an addiction that just waiting to happen. Whatever you do, make sure that you put that on everything that you can! It is so delicious. Not to be forgotten are their fantastic cocktail. I’ve had every one of their cocktail list thus far, and all are uniquely enjoyable. My go-to is the “Paradiso” but I always like to switch up the rotation and try something different. They have the best happy hour in town and an even better dinner dining experience. Portions are large and filling always. The service is just impeccable! Every time that I step foot in the door, I am greeted with warm smiles and treated like family. I’m a regular here, but the awesome service is inclusive of all. Akbar, Abdul, and his team are exceptional. I’m so grateful to have this neighborhood gem nearby. If you’re thinking of giving them a try, don’t even think about it; just DO IT like Nike. I promise that you won’t be disappointed!
Great food and service. Recommend the potato pakora and mixed vegetables platter. Nice place for a family style lunch or dinner!
Oh my goodness, the food here is delicious. It's seasoned perfectly, and the wine list is great! Really friendly service, and the environment is calm and quiet, with great music. The potato pakoras were also a "must have." We also had the samosas which were perfect with those amazing sauces they place on the table, and the watermelon-feta salad was to die for. I wasn't huge on the Cesar salad. The dressing was delicious, but the salad was overdressed. That said, it didn't affect my rating at all. Very happy with the overall experience. 10/10
I had an amazing experience at Saffron Kitchen The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh you can really taste the quality in every dish. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy and beautifully decorated, making it perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner with family.
What a gem! This is the epitome of Afghani cuisine. We ordere 3 foods and 2 appetizer and every single one was amazing. I never had such an amazing experience
I got the Lawang, and it was so tasty! The chicken is very soft and flavorful, and the mushrooms and vegetables pair well with the curry. The restaurant is also really pretty!
I walk past saffron everyday wondering how it is. After several people have told me how great the drinks, food, and atmosphere are I had to go in and try. The drink was amazing and the appetizer was a 10/10. Will be back soon.
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and finally had an opportunity. I am sorry I waited so long. The food was delicious. Everything I ate was seasoned just right. The flavors of the ingredients were allowed to shine. Every bite was a delight to my senses. The staff was very attentive to my dietary requests and I was able to modify the dishes to be gluten free without a fuss. The Saffron Pistachio gelato is a must have. Not too sweet but definitely flavorful.
Authentic Afghan restaurant with great variety of cuisines. Full bar with bar seating, high tables, indoor and odor seating and space for private party. Service was quick and responsive. Foods were delicious and fresh. Combination plate has all sort of kababs with delicious ghabele polo (seasoned rice). Good for groups, couples, date night, meetup and kids. Accessible with ramp, paid and free street parking available.
This was such a delightful find. The atmosphere is inviting with many options both inside and outside. The staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The food was so good, fresh ingredients, tasty and seasoned to perfection. The optional red, green and yogurt sauces were fun and added a nice kick if you want it. The spinach was amazing. The Greek salad was yummy. The lentil soup was very good. The Kabob was a home run (husband’s reference). We are already planning our next visit!
